Scholarships

$3,000 Scholarships Available for 16 Graduating Seniors

Navopache Electric Cooperative (NEC) will offer 16 $3,000 scholarships to graduating seniors, including home school students, in NEC’s service area for 2022. For 2022, NEC will select up to two students per NEC Board of Directors district. Applications are available below as well as being available through local high school counseling offices. Applications will be available at the following high schools:  Alchesay High School; Blue Ridge High School; Mogollon High School; Reserve High School; Round Valley High School; St. Johns High School; Show Low High School; Cibecue High School; and Sequioa Village School. 

 The scholarship guidelines are as follows:

  1. Parents or guardians of the student applying must have an active NEC account. The parents or guardians and the student must live in one of the NEC Board district service areas.
  1. Scholarships will be paid in increments of one thousand five hundred dollars ($1,500) for each semester, a limit of two semesters, totaling three thousand dollars ($3,000). There is a time frame of four school year terms in which to use the money.
  1. Scholarships will apply to a university, college, junior college or vocational school.
  1. The NEC Scholarship Selection Committee made up of NEC employees and members will provide recommendations on award of the scholarships to the NEC Board of Directors.

NEC prides itself in being involved with the community and in offering this opportunity to students bound for higher education.  Since the cost of higher education continues to rise, NEC is proud to be able to offer scholarships each year.  Deadline for applying for the scholarship is end of business on Thursday, March 7th 2024.
