It has come to our attention that solar (and similar) companies are representing to members that they are partnering with NEC to provide solar services and energy efficiency services. At the current time, NEC DOES NOT PARTNER with any company for such products or services. As always, any NEC employee will have on a shirt with a logo as well as photo ID when they are doing work at your place of business or home. SCAM ALERT! It has come to our attention that there is another round of SCAM COLLECTION PHONE CALLS going around. The person calling represents themselves as an NEC representative and demands that payment be made immediately over the phone or service will be disconnected in 30 minutes. Please note that NEC will not have you make a payment over the phone directly to a representative. Phone payments are handled by an automated line, and by representatives. An additional scam that we have been notified that members are being called and told that they have a past due balance and that we are sending out a crew to remove the meter if they do not pay immediately. The scammers are requiring members to pay with Zelle or the equivalent. Please note that we never remove meters for past due accounts.
