Levelized Billing…the predictable way to pay your electric bill
Managing your electric bill is easier when you know how much you’ll pay each month. NEC’s Levelized Billing payment plan balances the seasonal highs and lows of your energy bill for a more consistent monthly payment. Your energy usage typically will fluctuate with the seasons and can even vary from month to month. Levelized Billing divides your estimated annual charges into equal monthly payments, allowing you to better manage your finances.
How it works
Levelized Billing is an optional NEC payment plan that allows you to pay for your electric use in equal monthly installments. Your estimated annual bill will be divided into 12 equal monthly payments. We will continue to read your meter monthly, but you’ll pay the same amount from one month to the next instead of paying a different amount each month. Your bill will show how much energy you’ve used, the amount you’ve paid, and your actual account balance.
To help you keep on track, we will adjust your Levelized Billing amount twice per year to reflect changes in your actual usage and the cost of power. On your February and August billing statements, your monthly payment will be adjusted based on fluctuations in your usage or electricity prices and any deferred debit balance on your account. As a Levelized Billing payment plan participant, you are encouraged to request a review anytime to see if an adjustment to your Levelized Billing amount is necessary to reflect your actual usage.
