Springerville Vegetation Management

Navopache Electric Cooperative, Inc., (NEC), is alerting its members in the Springerville-Eagar area of vegetation management activities taking place on behalf of NEC by an independent  contractor, Asplundh Tree Expert Company of Willow Grove, PA.  Asplundh is the world’s leading vegetation management company serving utilities and municipalities across the nation. 

            Vegetation management refers to trimming trees and other measures to ensure safe clearances in NEC’s rights-of-way or easements.  By contracting with Asplundh to maintain its power line  easements, NEC can focus its tree trimming crews on daily calls from members who report dangerous trees and other easement problems that they notice in their neighborhoods.

            The Asplundh crews drive bright orange vehicles, similar to NEC vehicles, and you may see them working in the Round Valley area for the next several months beginning this March.  NEC appreciates the cooperation of its membership during this process.  Well maintained rights-of-way are critical in avoiding power outages and it is NEC’s primary goal to provide reliable service.  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Tree Trimming Foreman at NEC at 1-800-543-6324, Ext. # 335.
